NA-25(Office
of International Material Protection and Control)
of the National Nuclear Security Agency, U.S. Department
of Energy. NA-25’s mission is to “enhance
U.S. national security and reduce the threat of nuclear
proliferation and nuclear terrorism by improving the security
of weapons-usable nuclear and radiological material and
enhancing detection and interdiction infrastructure at
international borders.”

Institute
of Nuclear Materials Management. INMM’s annual
meeting, of which ISA is a proud corporate sponsor, is
the primary gathering for those engaged in safely securing
nuclear materials.
Nuclear
Threat Initiative. NTI’s goal is to help reduce
the spread of and risk posed by nuclear, biological and
chemical weapons. The Initiative’s website is the
most comprehensive source of non-proliferation news and
data available on the Internet.
Managing
the Atom Project(Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs,
JFK School of Government, Harvard University) “The
Project facilitates research by scholars and practitioners
on nuclear and nonproliferation issues and publishes studies
on the funding of, and progress made by, non-proliferation
programs.
The
James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies(Monterey Institute of International Studies).
CNS engages in research and training on nonproliferation
issues and publishes The Nonproliferation Review and
International Export Control Observer.
Carnegie
Endowment for International Peace. CEIP is committed
to encouraging international cooperation and active engagement
by the United States along a spectrum of topics with a
strong focus on nonproliferation issues.
Partnership
for Global Security. The Partnership works towards
the goal of securing WMD and maintains a website with
up-to-date nonproliferation news and a useful article
archive.
OUTSIDE
THE US
International
Atomic Energy Agency.
Known as the world’s nuclear watchdog, IAEA works
through member states to promote safe and secure nuclear
technology. The IAEA website contains educational information
on a number of topics related to nuclear energy.
PIR Center for Policy Studies.
The Center conducts research and educational activities
on nonproliferation topics. The Center’s website
contains useful Russian sources on nonproliferation topics,
many of which are available in both Russian and English.
Bellona
Foundation.
Originally founded as a direct action protest group Bellona
has become an important technology and solutions oriented
environmental champion.
Fridtjof
Nansen Institute.
A multidisciplinary institute specializing in research
on environmental, energy and resource management politics.
The Institute’s website contains an archive of nuclear
energy and nonproliferation articles.
